Welcome to Windale Anglican Church.
We are a parish of the Anglican Church of Australia, Diocese of Newcastle. We live in Windale, Mount Hutton, Gateshead, Tingira Heights and Warners Bay, suburbs off the East North tip of Lake Macquarie. Lake Macquarie is 15km from Newcastle and 150km from Sydney NSW.
We are an open and inclusive group of Christians, worshipping God in Jesus Christ.

“The Transfiguration”?
Jesus was transfigured before them, and his face shone
like the sun, and his clothes became dazzling white.
(See Matthew 17: 1-9; Mark 9:2-8)
Our Church, built on a hill, has as its name the title of a central event
in the life of Jesus, an event which also took place on a hill –
the Transfiguration of Jesus, when his heavenly glory was revealed to the disciples.
It is a reminder to us of the need to bear witness to the glory of God in our midst,
and of the transforming power of God’s Spirit in our lives
and the lives of all to whom we minister.
