Our Church of the Transfiguration is situated on the corner of Merrigum Street and Balemo Crescent Windale .

Travelling North on the Pacific Highway, at Bennets Green you will pass through traffic lights for a right T intersection which is the entrance to the Harvey Norman complex, move to the extreme left lane and turn left into Lake Street at the major traffic lights which control entry to the Newcastle bypass. In lake street the Windale Gateshead Bowling Club is on your right, Lake street sweeps to the left with the Catholic school and church on your left. At the interection with traffic lights turn right into South street. Travel along South street until you see Bahloo Reserve on your right then turn right into Merrigum street, our church is at the top of the hill on your right, then turn right into Balemo Cresent and right into Talinga close. The entrance for the church carpark is 50m on your right.
Travelling South on Newcastle Bypass, turn right into Lake Street at the major traffic lights for the southern end of the bypass and then as for above.
From Warners Bay travel south on The Esplanade Road past the Warners Bay shopping Centre and turn left into Warners Bay Road, 2.4 km along Warners Bay Road proceed through a set of traffic lights for 400m then turn right into Tennent Road, 1km along Tennent Road the road turns 90 degrees into Willow Road, then turn right into Merrigum Street, left into Balemo Cresent and right into Talinga Close. The entrance for the church carpark is 50m on your right.
By Rail: Alight at Newcastle Railway Station, and wait on Southern side of Scott street for No.310 or 311 bus to Church in Merrigum street.
By Plane: The closest airport is Newcastle, then shuttle bus to Newcastle and N0.310 or 311 bus to church in Merrigum Street.
